Baseball

Alex has been traded to the Cubs. His Texas Rangers team from the spring disbanded, and the new team has had two games so far. He's hit every time he's been at bat, using either the tee or coach pitch. He's caught some grounders and tagged a couple players out! It's fun to watch and he's enjoying it, but most of all he looks forward to drinking Gatorade and getting post-game snacks; when it's Oreo's-who wouldn't?! Lincoln said he would watch Alex for one quarter, and I told him they're not called quarters in baseball, but innings. Alex added that "Yes, they're called endings, because our team bats, then the other team bats, and that's the end". We're still working on some of the finer points of the game.

"So THAT'S why Gatorade tastes so good; it contains no fruit juice". Linc's revelation upon reading the nutrition label as he was enjoying a drink.

A gecko for a pet!! We caught a tiny Mediterrean gecko which scale the walls all around (outside!) the house. Tiny little thing; less than 2 inches, and didn't take a decent photo, but we let him go after keeping him in a fishbowl for the day.
