Scott celcbrated the big 4-0. I think he's fine with it, since he says he doesn't feel 40, whatever that means. 40's the new 30, right? It seems as though any age is "the new" 10 years younger than the actual; 30 is 20, 80 is 70 etc.? Everyone was great about well wishes and cards, his evn his mom was the first to call in the morning (love ya Carolyn!). His dad sent a bunch of photographs from over the years and we had fun compiling them along with a Wordle (my newest obsession..www.wordle.net) and reminiscing. We commemorated it by savoring a lovely adult evening dining with close friends at Dallas' swanky hotel ZaZa.

Other than that, it's hot. Sure is nice having a pool out the back door. Danica has stopped using her 'Ducky' floaty and although not the prettiest thing, is able to get where she needs to go on her own.

One of the windows in our master bedroom shattered when a rock from the lawnmower or weedeater hit it. Luckily, it's double paned, and only the exterior shattered and none of the pieces have fallen out. It's actually pretty cool-looking so I'm not in a hurry to fix it, or pay for it.
