20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Scott and I travelled south, for 3 lovely nights in Playa Mujeres, Mexico; just north of Cancun. We celebrated 20 YEARS!! at all-inclusive, adults-only Beloved Resort. It was brave to leave during crazy May, but thankfully my mom took over on the home front, so not a beat was missed. It was a terrifically relaxing escape; we loved it and would go back in a second! We were always made to feel celebrated and received great service from the wonderful staff.

Incredibly beautiful blue water on our very ferry ride to the adjacent Isla Mujeres.
This golf cart and it's questionable brakes, got us around the island all day
We hiked down to a beach, but it was too rocky to get in
From the hotel, we enjoyed a tour on cool electric bikes!
Alfredo led our ride and taught us about native vegetation, including Agave=tequila!
A paella demonstration and tasting, where we also made sangria.
The food was great, as much as we wanted, at any time!
I could have subsided at this cafe with desserts, sandwiches, smoothies and coffee
Our in-room mini-bar, all included and re-filled daily. We definitely didn't drink our share!
Scott surprised me with a beautiful emerald anniversary ring, symbolizing 20 years and is the May stone.
Hope you like a lot of pepper
Happy Anniversary to us!
Pedro has big dreams of competing as a 'flair' bartender, demonstrated while making Scott's coffee
Lots of mean iguana's
Meticulously maintained grounds
ANOTHER GALA RETREAT
The newest member joined 25 of us for another great Oklahoma weekend
1000 piece puzzle tradition

6TH ANNUAL MINUTEMAN GALAWas a success! Silent Auction kicked my booty and was my part time job for 2 months, and the great news is we raised $350,000, surpassing our fundraising goal by $50K. That's why we celebrate in Oklahoma!
EASTER!
SWIFT WATER TRAINING, ALTO DEPLOYMENTScott is now a certified swift water technician with Minuteman.
He also was also one the first responders to a F-3 tornado in Alto TX. It's been an extremely busy spring storm season, with deployments to flooded Oklahoma as well.
BYE BYE MASERATIIt was a very sad day. While stopped behind a pickup truck at the gas station, it reversed right onto the top of us in the Maserati. Scott loved that car and had spent a lot of energy getting it just to how he like it. We reasoned that the damage wasn't too bad, and fixable. Err... no. The estimate came back a $26,000; due to handmade parts from Italy. So, bye bye Maserati, and hello insurance settlement.
Ironically, on Valentine's Day, the truck towed Scott's love away to auction.
But there were better things in store (in my opinion). My new ride, named Astro, is pretty fun and kinda feels like you're driving a spaceship.
Our lovely 25 ft Leland Cypress trees were cut down by the HOA; along with all the others in the hood, due to a virus that can infect other trees. Before.

HIP HIP HOORAY - My dad had a total hip replacement and is doing amazing! Now his knees hurt. He also had a weird, random kidney stone incident which required surgery. All fixed up before boating season though!
BATHROOM TILE UPDATE - We did a new accent tile and updated light fixtures project in our master bath. Now the blues and creams match our updated paint. Before
