Casino Camping

Realizing it was our last opportunity to take the pop-up out since soccer starts this weekend, we headed north, just over the Oklahoma border to the Choctaw casino last weekend. The KOA campground was across the street and attracted us with level, concrete pull-though pads, a playground, pool and hot tub (which it turned out we couldn't use). We arrived after dark Friday and didn't get much sleep due to chilly temps and freight trains passing every 15 min! Saturday we visited the nearby town of Durant and toured the casino and once it warmed up, the kids enjoyed the playground, riding bikes & scooters.

We're contemplating whether to keep the camper; although it is nice to get away from the house on free weekends, it's a lot of prep, the kids don't enjoy it as much as we thought and we gravitate towards the places that are more like hotels, so why not just stay at a hotel?! No decision made yet, but the votes are in: Lincoln & Alex say 'no', Danica's a 'yes'--because of the playgrounds.
Domino loves it; he'll do this all day

Lincoln brought a project home from January; it read," My New Year's revelotion (resolution) is to eat allot of my dinner on my plate. I hope to accomplish it by the end of the year."
Alex told me he and his friend Miller got to sit together by themselves at a lunch table buy redeeming 25 tickets, earned for good behavior. He said, "We made it fair, he turned in 5 tickets and I turned in 20."
