D's Details

Danica traversed a right of passage by having six wisdom teeth removed. She said the recovery was the 'worst days of her life' and, with a subsequent infection a few weeks later, is glad to have it behind her!
Except for a few days off for the surgery, she worked hard all summer; 30 hours a week at Preston Trail childcare in the 2-year-olds room, and almost full-time as a hostess at Local Yocal. To Mom's displeasure, she declined to go on a family vacation and opted to work, spend some, and save some $$!
She loves these kids and vice versa; we tell her she should pursue a career
related to children.
She spent lots of time with Beck, who also worked at Local Yocal.
We did have a quick getaway to Sue & Dave's lake house with Ava. It was good to see her just having fun!
At the onset of her SENIOR(!) year, all of the 'lasts' senior things started. Including senioritis.
Yearbook and graduation photos. It feels unreal.

Here are some of our favorites from many great shots, including her best friend, Cleo, who is 'the most photogenic dog,' according to the photographer.
It was silly to think we'd have a decent college tour at the University of Oklahoma on College Game Day vs Tennessee! But we certainly got a feel for what a big SEC game day feels like 🎉🏈 🌞, and these two bought last-minute tickets to stay for the game.
She applied to seven schools..

And the decision is....🥁 Drum Roll ....... coming soon!!

🥳 EIGHTEEN!! 🎂
And just like that, our baby girls is an adult! Happy 18th birthday to beautiful, smart, independent, hard-working, fierce, Jesus-loving Danica. God certainly blessed us by choosing us as your parents and to complete our family. You are deeply loved, and we'll cheer loudest wherever life's journey takes you. 💗
