Meet Juno!!

She's our new dog! Think we're crazy? Well yes, possibly.  For my birthday a while back, Scott asked me if I wanted another dog.  I laughed and walked away.  But Domino needed a playmate!  So our search began, and it wasn't easy.  A six week process of visiting shelters across north Texas several days a week, daily scouring the web, five face to face meetings (2 of which went well) and now we've got our gal!  You see, it takes a special 'breed' to deal with our crazy Dom.

She was rescued at a week old from the Humane Society (found as a stray) along with7 litter mates and her mom, moments before their euthanization.  She was the runt and sick, the vet didn't give her more than 3 days to live, but she gained in interest in food, which is still strong today! 8 months old now, she's a little mix of everything; she has the coat of a black lab, under bite (at least 2 teeth are always showing) of a boxer, her mom was a Pit Bull, dad is suspected of being a Rottweiler, but just overall cute and so sweet!  She has a very sweet and mellow demeanor, which is what crazy Domino needs, her tail is always wagging, but she can certainly hold her own against Domino.  He is thrilled to pieces to have a four-legged friend around, we still have to get after him to let her be every once in a while.

Starting all over with house training for the second time in a year is not the greatest and on rainy days like today when the dogs are rough housing inside and knocking over furniture, can be a little trying. But she's keeping Domino entertained and tired and she's bringing us happiness, so it's all good.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about
