Today was the first day in
second grade at our neighborhood school, Glen Oaks! This is a new school for us; their charter school closed and we're looking forward to lots of great new experiences and friends. They were so pumped up this morning! We walked (
sweated) to school, dropped Alex off in Mrs. Foreman's room and Lincoln in Mrs. Miller's class. Both report a great first day and Linc's one word summary is 'super' and Alex's is 'surprised' (at the differences). They're excited about a reading
cubby which they climb a ladder to reach, lockers (!-no combinations to memorize), computers in their classrooms, their own desks and no uniforms!
Danica can't wait for preschool next week!
Mom is all smiles ;) as is dad, who had a somewhat quieter day working from home. I think it's going to be a 'super' year!
