We ventured out on a last minute camping trip; a change of scenery was needed since we haven't left home since before Thanksgiving. Less than an hour away, we arrived Friday evening at Lake Grapevine, had great 70 degree set up weather, got a spot next to the playground and the fish/duck food dispenser (both of which proved to be important entertainment). The weather turned chilly and wet Saturday, so we were thankful for the heater, a portable TV and Red Box. Bay indulged in a McDonald's hamburger for her 12th birthday (a change from her usual vanilla cone), and who knew we'd be lucky enough to celebrate National Eskimo Pie Day with free ice cream?
